Each classroom at RKZ has a lead teacher and one or more assistant teachers. Every lead teacher is qualified in Early Childhood Education, and combined, they have over 75 years of teaching experience! Additionally, each lead teacher is registered with SCCEEDS to remain current in child developmental theory and practice.

Linda Owens, RKZ Director

As a professional in the Early Childhood Education field, I love helping children and families! Over the past several years I have had the pleasure to work in many programs with children ages six weeks through eighth grade. I have held positions including Teacher, Center Director, Area Manager, Assistant Principal, Trainer, Case Manager, and Executive Director. In addition to my AA in Early Childhood Education and my BA in Human Development, I am currently putting the finishing touches on my thesis and have completed my studies at Pacific Oaks College where I will receive my Master of Arts Degree in Human Development.

My active interest and membership in the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) allows me to remain connected to the latest research regarding child development. Sharing this information with teachers and families is a responsibility that I take very seriously. Safety and education go hand in hand and keeping my CPR and First Aid training up to date at all times prepares me to respond to any emergency that may arise.

I thank God daily as He continues to bless me by providing opportunities that allow me to share and grow while I serve Him. It is my desire to support the Radiant community in every way that I can, through both the church and preschool. I’m looking forward to building new relationships and working in a faith-based environment where Christian love and service can become every day experiences!
