Preschool
Researchers say that during critical developmental periods long, thin fibers grow inside the brain creating pathways that carry electrical impulses from cell to cell. A network, which grows daily in the young brain, forms the neurological foundation upon which a child can build a lifetime of skills. The Core Knowledge Curriculum is one of the best ways to help a child build foundations and increase learning. At RKZ our trained teachers are dedicated to preparing your child for academic excellence. The learning environment incorporates opportunities for children to learn through carefully planned centers that are inviting while offering challenging activities for each preschool child.
Focus on building skill in language, math, science, computers, beginning hand writing and beginning reading, along with physical activity, music and visual arts help build self confidence in your child. Sense of self and personal responsibility while working in a group setting is important as your child begins to develop habits related to learning and school.
Respect for self and others are an important part of our philosophy. Daily prayer is encouraged and character building opportunities provide challenges and opportunities that help children find new ways to become successful, caring individuals. This also builds confidence to support more complex social and intellectual skills to help prepare your child for future success in school as well as later in life.
Families are encouraged to participate in our program as time allows. Reading, sharing a talent, singing songs, eating lunch, doing an experiment and sharing your family heritage is encouraged at RKZ. Parent conferences and frequent updates on your child’s progress allow you as a parent to remain part of your child’s experience. We value your input and encourage you to maintain an ongoing dialogue with your child’s teacher. We will support the most effective way to discuss your child’s progress in the method that will work best for you. Simply let us know.
